Wild pairing meme: Imagine

So I bookmarked an absolutely insane random pairing generator somewhere back in the mists of time: http://www.seventhsanctum.com/generate.php?Genname=brainhurtpairer

Totally forgot about it. Stumbled across the bookmark today while looking for something else. Gave it a whirl…

And it came up with these:

  • Bellatrix Black (HP)//Dr. Frankenstein (Young Frankenstein)

  • Brian Griffin (Family Guy)/Horselover Fat (VALIS)

  • Dirk Gently's refrigerator (Long Dark Tea-Time of the Soul)/Lauren Reed (Alias)

  • Gaston (Beauty and the Beast)/Hawkeye Pierce (M*A*S*H)

  • Goyle (Harry Potter)/Alexander Dane (Galaxy Quest)

  • Guy (Galaxy Quest)/Lee "Apollo" Adama (Battlestar Galactica 2005)

  • Harriet Jones (Aliens of Londons WW3 - Doctor Who)/Atticus Finch (To Kill A Mockingbird)

  • Hastur (Good Omens)/Alia (Dune)

  • Jack Goodman (An American Werewolf In London)/Eowyn (Lord of the Rings)

  • John Rowlands (The Dark is Rising)/Holly Short (Artemis Fowl)

  • Karin Murphy (The Dresden Files)/Mrs. White (Clue)

  • Offred (Handmaid's Tale)/Bill Weasley (Harry Potter)

  • Pilot-Major John Blackthorne (Shogun)/Cedric Diggory (HP)

  • Renee d'Auber (Mairelon the Magician)/Nancy Ogg (Discworld)

  • Renfield (Dracula)/Neo (The Matrix)

  • Sapphire (Sapphire and Steel)/Alex Rider (Alex Rider books)

  • Sauron (Lord of the Rings)/Nate Fisher (Six Feet Under)

  • Violet Baudelaire (A Series of Unfortunate Events)/Violet Beauregard (Charlie and the Chocolate Factory)

  • Winifred Banks (Mary Poppins)/Eros (Greek mythology)

  • Marlin (Finding Nemo)/Titania (A Midsummer Night's Dream)

  • Nancy Drew//DEATH (Discworld)

  • Pansy Parkinson (Harry Potter)/Prince Lir (The Last Unicorn)

  • Parvati Patil (Harry Potter)/Jaime Lannister (A Song of Fire and Ice)

  • Sandor Clegane (A Song of Fire and Ice)/Lara Perkins (The L Word)

  • Yoko Ono/Sulu (Star Trek)
Genius! Genius, I tell you!

Come on: Nancy Drew/DEATH? Violet B/Violet B (what are the odds?)? Heck, Harriet Jones, Prime Minister/Atticus Finch, Esq?

(I do feel badly for Nate. He somehow finds the real winners, doesn't he?)

Having had my mind blown here's the drabble I couldn't not write:

"Imagine a world… with no air," said the odd woman with the flat voice.

"I've, uh, been there." Sulu peered around the crowded art gallery.

"Imagine a lion… and a lamb… fucking."

"Wow," Sulu said, "quite an image." Spock had said to rendezvous here. Now. Sulu didn't want to get stranded in the past. "Say—"

"Yoko," said the woman, managing to sound both suggestive and affectless.

"Right. Yoko." Sulu took pride in his Japanese heritage, but now he questioned that. "Have you—?"

"Imagine me… naked."

"I’d rather not," said Sulu, never so happy that he swung the other way.

I tag YOU! I'd love it if you took one of the pairs above — or go to the generator and get one or more of your own! Post it in a comment here, or post a link; I'd love to see what you come up with.

Wow, great site! I also like the Envisioner - the story generator. http://www.seventhsanctum.com/generate.php?Genname=envision And I definitely like your drabble. I always suspected Yoko Ono was a fictional character.

I think you may be on to something there about Yoko.

And that story generator really is something. Here's some ideas it threw out:
  • A fusion of the story of Buddha and the legend of Cassandra that concerns a group of cab drivers.

  • The legend of the Golem envisioned as a retro-futuristic slasher horror tale.

  • The legend of Jack O'Lantern being about a group of knights.

  • The legend of Gilgamesh being about a group of novelists.

  • A fusion of the story of Rapunzel and the story of Mohammed.

  • The legend of Ikaros and Deadelus set at a truckstop.

  • A fusion of the tale of the Good Samaritan and the legend of Johnny Appleseed.

  • A fusion of the tale of Joan of Arc and the story of Jason and the Argonauts that concerns a group of unicorns.

  • The tale of Casey Jones being about a group of tennis players.

  • The tale of the Princess and the Pea envisioned as a blaxploitation character study tale.

  • The story of Alice in Wonderland envisioned as a historical reinactment tale.

  • The story of The Hunchback of Notre Dame envisioned as a propaganda piece tale.

  • The legend of Perseus envisioned as a drama tale.

  • A fusion of the legend of the Golem and the story 'A Connecticut Yankee in King Arthur's Court' envisioned as a quest tale.

  • The legend of Cassandra set on a gameboard.

  • The legend of Oedipus envisioned as a party comedy tale.

  • The story of Pygmalion and Galataea being about a group of jewelers.

  • The legend of the Flying Dutchman envisioned as a superhero tale.

  • A fusion of the legend of Paul Bunyan and the tale of Lady Godiva envisioned as a comedy tale.

  • A fusion of the story of the little Dutch boy and the legend of Beowulf envisioned as a buddy tale.

I think I've read some of those.
